Organized by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG), the "Campus Writers Recruitment Programme" encourages students to create works with the goal of publishing a book, challenging themselves to compose theme-based writings of tens of thousands of words. Meanwhile, the "Hong Kong Creative Writing Flash Contest" forms teams of three to four students to spark impromptu team creativity, inspiring innovative ideas under time limits and specific requirements. Both events provide a series of learning, training, practical, and competitive activities—including "Writing Workshops," "Mentorship Programmes," and "Writing Camps"—to encourage students to actively engage in creation and elevate their writing skills.

In the Non-Fiction Category of the "Campus Writers Recruitment Programme," 4B Zhang Hanyun chose "Traces" (跡) as the theme for her prose collection, writing about various tangible and intangible footprints in daily life. Shortlisted from 365 applicants, Zhang stood out among 97 campus writers to enter the top ten and earn the Merit Award.

In addition, 4B Chai Ki, 4B Yau Yee Ting, 4B Zhang Hanyun, and 4D Li Sum Yeut formed the team "Chong Er" (虫二) to participate in the "Hong Kong Creative Writing Flash Contest." Shortlisted from over two hundred applications, they stood out among more than thirty teams to likewise enter the top ten and receive the Merit Award.

The students attended the prize presentation ceremony held at the Hong Kong Book Fair on July 20th. Our warmest congratulations to all the award-winning students!

After the ceremony, our students browsed the championship works of previous campus writers, drawing rich inspiration from their predecessors' words as they continue to forge ahead in their writing journey.
