On the evening of 10 April 2026, a group of talented students from SKH Bishop Mok Sau Tseng Secondary School (MST) brought the "MTR Art Stage" to life with an elegant "Evening Concert." Amidst the peak hour rush, students shared the joy of artistic and cultural heritage with commuters through a series of melodious performances.
The concert featured award-winning ensembles from the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival. Opening the event, Silver Medalist 5D DENG Li-hao performed a bamboo flute solo, Spring Tide, with crisp notes reminiscent of melting snow. This was followed by 4B WONG Tsz-yiu, who delivered a soulful erhu performance of A Golden Sun in Beijing, showcasing deep traditional roots. On the Western music front, the Recorder Band—fresh from their Championship win — consisting of 1A FONG Leong-yan, 1C XIAO xuan-ni, 1D LEE Lok-yin, 2C CHEUNG Nam NATALIE, 3C CHEUNG Ching SUMMER, 4D LI Ka-yi, 4D LO Pak-yin, performed Hornpipe with perfect synchronization, injecting a vibrant and festive energy into the station concourse.
The latter half of the concert highlighted the students' creativity and expressive power. An A Capella group, featuring 3A Law Lok Kan Timothy, 3A Liu Man Hei, 3C Lau Hei Yee Hailey, 3C Lau Tsz Kwan, 3C Wong Sum Kei, 3D Lo Shiny, 4B Cheung Zi E Gianna, and 4B Lai Tsz Kiu, offered a refreshing vocal rendition of Birds of a Feather. Meanwhile, 4C Lai Tsz-kiu showcased her multifaceted talent by performing her original composition, Listen to This Song with Your Eyes Closed.
The highlight of the evening arrived when the MST Choir (5C Man Hei-ching, 5C Yuen Sau-tsun, 3B Yuen Ting-yan, and 3D Ning Lok-yiu) took the stage for the grand finale. They performed the 50th Anniversary school song, That’s Summer, composed by Au Yeung Yip-chun with lyrics by Lai Tsz-lok and Yuet Wan. The moving performance led the audience on a journey through half a century of cherished memories and school spirit, bringing the evening concert to a perfect conclusion.
