Two of our school team coaches are competing in the National Games as members of the Hong Kong team
2025-10-21

Warm congratulations! Our school’s two team coaches—alumni coach Candy Tsang of the cross-country team and Mr. Tam Wing Chung of the badminton team—will participate in the 15th National Games of the People's Republic of China (National Games) as members of the HKSAR delegation. They have been invited to attend the flag presentation ceremony on 15 October 2025.

Candy will compete in the 3000m steeplechase and 1500m events against the country's top athletes. Meanwhile, Mr. Tam will lead the Hong Kong team as the head of the orienteering team, guiding them to push their limits in a challenging arena. They are not only excellent mentors for students on campus but also elite representatives of Hong Kong's sports scene, embodying the spirit of "never give up."

The National Games are the highest-level comprehensive sports event in the country, and for the first time, they are jointly hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau, marking a milestone in the deepening cooperation and integration of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. Being able to represent Hong Kong in this competition is a significant recognition of the two coaches’ abilities. Their dedication and achievements not only bring glory to the school but also set an exemplary standard for students to pursue excellence.

The school encourages all students to closely follow this year's National Games and cheer for both coaches and all Hong Kong athletes! We wish Hong Kong athletes to break their limits, achieve great results, and bring honor to Hong Kong!
